I’m not sure why I think I need another project to work on, but here I am, starting another pet project. My apologies for the not so creative blog title, but I was trying to make it simple, direct, and easy to remember.
The purpose of this blog is to help you, the gardener, find answers to questions about your garden.
Have you ever just wanted a direct answer to a question that relates specifically to your garden sight, but are too lazy to do the research yourself? If you answered “yes”, then you have come to the right place. If all you need is a unique plant list for a flower bed on the north side of your house, you have come to the right place. If you just want to know some basic steps on how to get started on a new flower bed, then you have come to the right place. If you want to know how to grow zinnias from seed and make some cash at the farmers market, then you have come to the right place. All you have to do is ask, and I will answer your questions at my earliest opportunity, most likely after my son goes to bed:)
But, why are you doing this, Marie?
Why you ask? I have talked about doing this for about 10 years. I have had many horticultural experiences over the last 15 years. I have had enough experiences to decide that it’s a lot less back breaking work to talk about gardening, than to actually own and run a horticultural business! No offense to all of you out there doing it, I truly admire you all. I’ve always enjoyed writing and journaling and teaching others, so I thought, why the heck not? I am doing this because I am a fountain of information about plants and I truly enjoy being able to spout off information and know that I was able to help out a friend. I love talking about plants, but I love even more to talk about plants when somebody actually wants to hear what I have to say because they need simple, direct answers from someone with a few years experience working with plants and flowers. I’m also doing this because I think it would be a thrill to see if I could actually earn a few pennies from advertisers. I am aware that the competition is fierce, and that there are probably a million other bloggers out there talking about the same thing. But I’ve always had the mindset of “Ya never know until you try.” So here I go:) Wish me luck.
